Hello, I'm Lexie Prieto, I'm a Relationship Systems, Communication, & Wellness Coach, and I'm enamored with LOVE! What feeling or force could be more thrilling, life-shaping and beautiful than AMORE!
I'm a first generation Cuban "mujer", raised with traditional and loving parents -still married after 60+ years. Early on it was impressed upon me that Extraordinary Love is a blend of integrity, trust, romance, passion, and joy - with moments of lively salsa dancing! Combine my cultural upbringing with my innate interest and study in psychology and sociology, my affinity for "happily-ever afters" and the fact that my father, who was a pioneer in the microprocessor development, was "systems" obsessed - and you will get a good idea of how Desired By Design came to be!
In my professional career I worked many years in high tech as a marketer, a project manager and as a trainer in Process Improvement Methodologies for a Fortune 100 company. I eventually switched career paths and worked at a brain wellness clinic and became a Certified Life Coach. Early in my coaching practice I developed a 6-step process for helping men and women travel through divorce. Because I personally encountered divorce to be a disorganized trip - a confusing, painful and expensive process, I set about to develop a systemic process to intelligently guide people through all the stages of divorce. As it turns out, like my father, I much enjoy designing systems and processes - to take chaotic circumstances, apply structure to them, in order to turn those erratic situations toward a more contained, predictable and effective experience.
My love story is not too unusual for today: as a woman who has had her share of dating, exclusive relationships, break-ups, engagements, marriages and divorce - I've come to learn that finding Extraordinary Love is not a straight path from point A to point B. It is a journey full of confusing yet important decisions and choices, often made with little or no sensibility, resulting in undesirable surprises.
So, naturally, I began putting structure to the erratic world of dating to travel more capably toward Extraordinary Love, and I developed a set of Principles and Practices (P&P's).
Today, as I move through dating, courtship, and budding romantic relationships, I genuinely treasure the journey I am on! I have recognized when I keep to my P&P's, I feel safe and secure: the P&P's are wise boundaries and they enable me to relax in relationship, and, to continue learning about myself in romantic partnership. I look forward to sharing these P&P's - these nuggets and pearls of wisdom - so you may also reduce your heart-risk while pursuing the mountaintop experience of - EXTRAORDINARY LOVE!
